That is not a fair comparison. It is no more fair to blame Sarah Palin or the Tea Party for the actions of an assassin who is on an anti goverment streak, than it is to blame the media or any other group expressing their opinions (freedom of speech/ intrepretation of the language used ) for it. It is also not fair to blame the Muslim American community for the actions of a few Islamic extremists, just as it would not be fair to blame the White American community for the actions of a few white extremists. It is particularily not fair to compare Sarah Palin's or the Tea Party's use of words to any Islamic extremist's actions
No, I think we agree. People should not be blamed for the actions of rogue crazy people.
The reason for the title, and for the comparison, is that I think Sarah Palin has a history of doing to Muslims what she, you, and I all agree is unfairly being done to her.
In the past she has made comments implicitly holding the Muslim community at large responsible for the actions of "extremists".
